Filament getting stuck
I'm sure its not well tested in the Prusa farms as they aren't removing filament that much. However when I do filament changes the very tip of the filament is catching on the way out of the top. I am removing the second it beeps. I have even tried pulling while it was still unloading.
So far I have gotten it out every time but one. However it takes a pretty strong pull but it comes out. One time it refused to come out but I was able to feed it back in. Its very close to getting jammed and I'm not looking forward to taking the extruder apart to change colors.
This has been across several brands of filament. All brand new fresh out of the vacuum pack.
Re: Filament getting stuck
Mine did this really bad when I first got my printer. It's getting much better now, so I'm guessing whatever it was catching on is wearing in. I just start tugging when the extraction "slows down" and when it lets go, I pull the filament out 6+ inches, in a rapid motion.
Hi, I'm Sean. I used to work on CNC machines.
I try to not make mistakes, but the decision is YOURS.
Please feel free to donate to my filament/maintance fund.

Have a look at this terrific mod by Area51 - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2748862
It doesn't solve the blob of filament getting stuck but it does allow you to deal with it swiftly without searching for the allen keys. Best mod so far for the Mk3.
