fails self test - hot end

assembled my MK3.
everything is plugged in correctly.
I even recrimped the thermistor connectors.
they register temperatere fine.

I checked the resistance of both heaters and they register fine. Hot end about 15 ohms. thermistor about 100k ohms.

But neither the hot end nor the heated bed will heat at all.

Btw, the design of the motherboard, case, wiring is terrible. There no room for wiring. Way too small. It's a nightmare plugging in all the connectors.

The fuses are good.
The heaters are good (checked resistance)
The thermistors are good.
The wires are plugged in correctly.

Both temperatures report correctly on the LCD.

I´m having the same issues, talked to support.
Its a bad motherboard, you need to create a replacement label for that with the support guys.

Yes, I did two days ago.
today I check the status and they have not even read the email yet. No replacement parts.
Not happy.

I like how the printer came with a reciept showing test results of the heat bed and hot end. Total BS

Received replacement motherboard.
Replacement motherboard also does not work.
Not good.

Both heaters fail.
thermistors are ok
all wiring ok.

Re: fails self test - hot end

Hi, I also got a printer in the last days.
I have exactly the same symptoms as you.
I checked the power supply voltage on both 24V channels.
Everything connected correctly.
In the printer's menu I also chose "preheat".
The temperature on any heating equipment does not increase.
They are to send me a new table, but I have the impression that support does not know what to do.

I found the issue with this.
It is the power supply power panic thing.
Unplug the power panic sensor (lower right)
and the heaters start to work.

My z axis still jams though...

Re: fails self test - hot end

you wont need a new table - am sure its the power panic thing.
They also wanted me to check the heater elements. and they sent me a new motherboard finally after i threatened them :-/
the new mobo did not work

but unplugging the power panic will work
so it's a problem with the power supply / power panic wiring.

Re: fails self test - hot end

Confirm
After disconnecting the white / black wire from the power supply, the heating started to work.
edit: My printer calibrate correctly.
The problems with x and y calibration needed to be improved by installing the wires.
It is doing the first printout.

Re: fails self test - hot end

Solution :
The black and white wire that enters the motherboard has reversed color wire.
Each wire should be gently pulled out by pressing the tab on the side of the plug.wires in the plug.
And then gently push back into the hole where the neighbor's wire was.
After swapping, connect the cable to the motherboard and check that everything is working correctly now.
