extrusion after colorprint filament change

I have a print that I've modified with the online version of colorprint to insert a color change.

Following completion of the filament change, and the confirmation that the filament is extruding correctly, the nozzle moves back to continue the print. During that move, the nozzle is extruding before it reaches the first printing location for the new color.

I was able to save the print from having the extra extrusion dragged onto it by quick grabbing with tweezers, but this seems to me like a bug. I thought I saw the same thing happen in JP's video.

Firmware 3.1.3, if it makes a difference.

Re: extrusion after colorprint filament change

it has always happened.

if you grab the waste but don't pull it off, then when you push the button to say colour is clear, the waste and extra squirt, will all pull off at the same time, as the extruder moves back to the print!.

Right-O! After the filament is changed and purged, RESIST the temptation to pull that pile off the bed- just let it sit there! Then when you push the button to 'go', it feeds a bit more filament which stays with that pile. You don't have to do anything, it works awesome!

I have to admit it would never have occurred to me to just leave that pile of filament on the plate!
