DIY Heavy duty steel sheet
I had issues with the steel sheet lifting from the heatbed with large prints with PETG.

So im made a "heavy duty" sheet.
I ordered a 1mm galvanized steel sheet (252mm x241mm) and put a spare PEI sheet on it, which i had from my MK2 built.
It is a lot stiffer but still flexible enough to pop the print, at least the big ones.
I did not use the alignment pins of the heatbed because getting a piece cut from the DXF was about 35€ each vs 8€ for the square piece.
There are some issues in using galvanized steel.
1. It deforms easily, so don't drop it or bend it too much
2. No robust powder coating, maybe Prusa can offer an Option in the Future ?
3. The Magnetic properties ar different, so you have to adjust the LIve Z value.

Looks good! Since I still have a spare PEI from my MK2 around I was thinking of doing the same.
Where did you order the steel sheet?
Also it would be nice to have Z-offset presets that you can select before starting a print. Or is there a way to set it via G-Code? Then we could set different profiles in slic3r...
