Disable print fan error RPM sensor?

My print fan is failing, but works well enough to continue printing until I replace it.

Support wants a video to prove I am having a print fan error so that they are assured that I am not trying to con them out of a $6 part. I plan to send the video with a DNA and semen sample to back up my claim. I digress...

Support has stated I can disable the print fan check, but a the rate it is taking them to answer how this is accomplished, I will probably have an answer here. Anyone know how this is done. I have not found it in the menu and google searches have not pointed me to the answer also...

THANKS!!!

Finally.... sorry for the diversion folks!

Settings -> Print Fan

Note, this cannot be turned off during a print fan error/resume print status. I was trying to disable the fan check AND resume during a print fan error message. The option to turn off the RPM sensor is not available during this period. So, you must cancel the print and loose the progress to disable the fans check.

Re: Disable print fan error RPM sensor?

I was able to disable my print fan error detection, by 1) pausing printing, 2) settings-> fan, 3) resume printing.
I see these if the printer has been running for a while and hear *very* slight plastic on plastic from the fan (it didn't start until 28? days of printing and 1.6+km of filament) The fan seems to be ok, after a while and keeps working. The print doesn't seem to be the worse for wear. I'd be curious to know if the fan replacement fixed your problem?

I'm on pinterest as timcor 💡
