complete list of compatible filament?
pre-order page says "Supported materials – PLA, ABS, PET, HIPS, Flex PP, Ninjaflex, Laywood, Laybrick, Nylon, Bamboofill, Bronzefill, ASA, T-Glase, Carbon-fibers enhanced filaments, Polycarbonates..."
wondering what the "..." covers
also noted that mk2s sale page states "and many more, we constantly add new materials! Send us tips for materials you would love to see supported"
Re: complete list of compatible filament?
I think that one complete list is not easy idea and "..." is used because the types and versions of filament comes so quickly.
The printer supports nearly everything for FDM based on 1.75mm plastic filaments.
You just need to check:
- if the hotend can provide anough temperature for that filament (official E3D v6 hotend is used)
- if you have the right printer setting for that filament (if not provided from Prusa, try forums)
- if you have the right print bed surface (not to stick too bad or too much)
- other requiremens like ambient temperature, hardened nozzle
If there is really new filament type, it always needs someone to experiment a little bit. Fortunatelly, there is a lot of adventure guys.
