Calibration issues
hey guys,
having some problems with the calibration.
Went trough the wizard the first time and everything was fine.
Printed out a test object and results were amazing.
But when i tried to print a second thing all hell broke lose.
Suddenly it gave me an error message saying i should check the axes while nothing changed to the printer.
I tried re calibrating the xyz axes but still get the error, i tripled checked everything and can't seem to find anything that would cause this.
I feel its the X axis that is giving me troubles, but no idea why.
i made this little clip to elaborate the error i get.

Re: Calibration issues
Sorry, I can't see the video in uk.
the X and Y axis can suffer from friction causing incorrect end stop triggering,
make sure the parts move smoothly, for the full travel distance,
make sure you don't have self induced errors... I had a JLTX Cobra part fan duct on my mk3. it clashed with the bed locating screws and cable cover during XYZ clibration
after that, make sure your cable ties haven't moved, and that your extruder and y axis cable bundles are not clashing,
check for scrap plastic in the belts and pulleys etc.
good luck, Joan
I try to make safe suggestions,You should understand the context and ensure you are happy that they are safe before attempting to apply my suggestions, what you do, is YOUR responsibility. Location Halifax UK

so i guess that explains it all
Re: Calibration issues
Just received my assembled and tested MK3, right off the bat the Z axis failed, though I turned it off and back on several times. at the top of the Z travel, it does do the skipping. What should I do? How can I check if the PNDA sensor is working? Pedro from Texas

It's supposed to do that for 3-4 seconds, and then home back down. I believe its mentioned in the manual, but its just making sure that both z screws are level.
Re: Calibration issues
Even so, it fails every time during z calibration. Please advise.
Re: Calibration issues
Running the “Setup Wizard”AGAIN. Again, it stops during Z axis homing. It says put a piece of paper and if it catches then shutdown. It catches, then says z axis calibration failed. When I go to settings-Move Axis-Move Z it says +5.0… shouldn’t it say zero? Does the autohome set the z zero? Any advice?
