Calibrate Z height with ABS instead of PLA
Can I calibrate the Z height without switching my filament over to PLA? I'm trying to dial it in for perfect ABS prints, and it's a hassle to have to load PLA every time I want to adjust the Z height.

You can, just slice some calibration tests for ABS, or make a square on any cad software, two layers are good to detect the best Z. Then write down the perfect value and switch when needed from PLA to ABS.
There are no need to run the inbuilt live z calibration which is bad anyway, only first time to set the value for PLA
Re: Calibrate Z height with ABS instead of PLA
I realize this sounds like a really dumb question, but how do I adjust the Z height outside of the PLA calibration routine?
Re: Calibrate Z height with ABS instead of PLA
WHen the printer is printing the first layer, press the control button by the LCD, and the second option down should be Live Z adjust

Re: Calibrate Z height with ABS instead of PLA
I just did it with petg by starting the z cal routine. When it asks if you have pla loaded hit yes. It starts heating. go back to the settings app and reset the hotend temp to whatever you want for abs (I set it to 245 for petg) and sit back. It will continue heating to your set temp and proceed normally. I got a really nice first layer with petg by doing this.
