Did you align the bearings like it suggests in the manual?

Remember the bed doesn't move at the speed you moving it also you could try some very light oil, I use sowing machine oil.

Yes, even if I move it very slowly it makes a scrapping noise. I was moving it that fast to illustrate the issue.

Even if I just have a single bearing on the rod by itself it makes a lot of noise.

The plate moves very smoothly on the rods, it just sounds like metal scraping on metal.

Sounds like mine did at that stage. The "frame" kind works like a speaker. Also, my printer got MUCH quieter after the first 1kg of filament I fed through it. When I worked on the 100,000$ machines, when we put new parts in them, we would run a "warmup" for 4-24 hours, of constant movement on that "axis".

I wouldn't worry about it too much, if after 1kg of filament it's still bothering you, look into Misumi rods, and bearings... or get some kind of bushings.

I had the same fear, but after my build was complete, my MK3 is completely quiet. I just made sure that my bearings were parallel to my rods, that they were not missing any of the balls inside and when I tightened my u-bolts I applied just enough pressure that the bearings wouldn't move. Once you get the heatbed installed and the motor controls the y-axis, you'll hardly notice the sound. As an added safeguard, you could apply some 3-in-1 machine oil or PTFE lube inside the bearing.
