Broken part during MK3 build
Hello all,
My MK3 is great and on my fourth print I decided ona 24 hour marathon build. No problems. Great printer.
I just want to report a bit of difficulty I had when assembling the extruder. On step 12 of part 4 I had trouble getting the second loop of belt on. With the lower bearing not attached and the X-carriage flopping around, I snapped the short layer part indicated here:
No biggie. It's not structural, so I used CA to glue it on and took a break. I don't know if the part can be stronger, or that step made easier, but it was the hardest part of the build for me and the only lasting mistake. I also put the Aluminum extrusions on the wrong sides at first. I'm only dropping this post to show an opportunity to improve an already great machine.
Overall, this was the easiest printer I have ever assembled. My list so far: Cupcake CNC, Sells Mendel, Thing-o-matic, and 24 Prusa i2's.
