Been thinking of Prusament
So, I was just surfing their store and I thought. "I need to get some color matching orange PETG, along with some Prusament when it comes out... Now I know the shipping is expensive so I was thinking. "7 spools would be the perfect order."
Well... I added 7 spools, and picked a shipping method.
To say the price came out a little higher than expected is an understatement.
EDIT: I'm thinking seeing that, it might be a better idea to just order 4 MK2S printers, and request spools of the specific filaments I want, and accept getting 3kg less filament... cause I mean, you are getting 4 MK2s for just over the price of 3 spools of filament.

you could fly to prusa pick up the filament have a weeks holiday and still be cheaper than shipping ffs lmfao 😆

I was hoping it would be cheap enough to buy some filament from Prusa and ship to the UK since (for now) we're still in the EU and it really shouldn't cost much, but I was put off by the shipping... which wasn't as silly as your shipping.
They need to do something about their shipping if they want to grow that side of their business too.

you sure thats not a mistake? I am in Texas and I ordered 5 spools and shipping was around $60 UD

All joking aside, Prusa's shipping costs have been a topic on these forums before. It's a little ridiculous. I agree that unless they figure something out, the shipping cost would be a barrier to expanding the "consumables" side of their business.

I was told that they are working on getting a warehouse in the US. This would help tremendously.

I'm in the UK and given the price increase in filament (I refuse to use that vile portmanteau "P****ment") AND postage, I'll be buying my filament elsewhere.
