So since I ordered on the 22nd of November, I'm pretty screwed aren't I... 😥
No. I have been waiting since Sept 25 and still waiting. No matter when you order you will be waiting.

Looks like as a rule of thumb you can expect 2,5 months between your order placement and receiving the printer, since people who placed the order on September 23 can expect to receive the printer in early december (2,5 months) and new orders are supposed to be delivered in February (also about 2,5 months from now)
The peak in orders during the first days, problems ramping up the production and christmas (reduced activity at Prusa and it's suppliers) will maybe drag out the time a little more in the beginning, but I guess starting in January the backlog and waiting period should gradually become shorter.
More data will make the forecast more accurate, I'll be watching that MK3 shipment thread closely! 🙂

I do new product launches for my company was the first 3 months of shipping is usually equivalent to the the next 9 months of orders. Especially if you have preorders it can be even higher.

They did. Just not on the beginning. Josef also told how many mk2 kits they ship per day, but i don't remember the number

There was a statemen somwhere that Prusa ships 3000 printers per month, in the MK3 interview with Thomas Sanlander there's a poster in the background stating 6000 printers per month.
That could be a spike in production to deliver the piled up MK2S printer orders when they switched to the new production in August.
If I understand it correctly there was a big change in lead time between first half of 2017 (weeks to months between order and delivery) and September, when they shipped alost immediately after order placement.
That sounds like the theoretical capacitiy could be around 6000 units a month, but the bottleneck seems to be the non-standard parts from sub-suppliers.
The MMU still has long delivery times, and it depeds on non-standard supplier items (Bondtech extruder, special e3d hot end...)
Now the MK3 is using both, bondtech parts, special e3d and now the powder coated steel sheet. In one of the interviews Jo said 2 months ago that there are problems with the production yield and that is one of the reasons why the steel sheet will not be available at first, for separate purchase.
Looks like that problem wasn't solved in the last 2 months. Let's hope that it will be solved until January.
What'S the conclusion?
We still don't know the actual production capacity, nor do we know the order numbers, but we can guess that they do match relatively well based on the delivery promises. The critical part seems to become the sub-suppliers and logistics, which need to be developed to satisfy the demand.
But I have to say I am really impressed by Prusa - he has taken a big step with the company and it seems to be working out well for him and the community! Yes, every day of delay feels long for each of us, but if you look at how much has changed and what an exciting product we are getting it's really good and worth the wait!

I'm surprised the 3D printing youtubers don't have videos of there MK3's up yet. after all today is the day the shipping was to start. I thought for shore that they would have videos up.

Cutting and editing takes a lot of work. I'd expect to see something this weekend or mid next week.
