Thinking about adding a cooling fan
Has anyone added a fan to cool the object being printed? When I print with PLA I get some edge curing up on overhanging corners. I am thinking that adding a fan blowing on the print will reduce the curling. I've also seen comments on the other forums that a cooling fan might help with bridges in ABS.
Thanks
Re: Thinking about adding a cooling fan
Did you try the fan yet? Are you talking about using an additional on-board fan that is attached and directed at the nozzle -or- a small desk type sized fan aimed at the print bed? I have not yet printed in PLA, but as you mentioned - I have experienced some (minor) bridging problems using ABS.
Re: Thinking about adding a cooling fan
The new 1.75 head assembly has a fan that blows on the tip and part.

I actually added a fan. Print results has improved significantly.

Petr that looks great. Can you share the designs and how you did it? Did you plug the fan into the other fan socket on the RAMBO?
Thanks,
