Steel sheet detector? (Kinda works)
We all know that we are not to print directly on the heatbed of the mk3. My original bed got damaged, I bought another one. I added a break beam sensor next to the LCD. Maybe this could be implemented in the later versions of the printer. My sensor works by firstly moving the Y axis to the maximum. The break beam sensor has a slot, where it detects the steel sheet(and By the way, the corner of the sheets stick out of the bed). I really like this, but I can only power down the printer if it didn’t detect the sheet. Did anyone try this, and please reply to this topic if you did. I hope that this feature shall be implemented in the firmware, and stop the printer if there is no sheet.
