Stackalack.. yup a LACK enclosure again!
Hi everybody. It's been a while since I had his completed, but maybe some of you might find it intertesting.

The concrete block is amazing in reducing noise and the Noctua hotend fan is not audible at all!
I used the leg blocks from this:

And the third, bottom LACK is fastened using wood glue and a dowel set kinda like this: 
The backside is a 3mm PVC sheet, sides are 2mm PC or Plexi (sorry I don't remember) and the door is 5mm Plexi. Got a pair of hinges that move the door away nicely.
Everything except the wheels and hinges is held by two sided TESA tape (it's insane how strong this stuff can be!)
I think I will add a plywood plate on the bottom to screw the wheels in because the LACK construction is rather flimsy, they kinda feel wobbly now after we moved recently. Otherwise the whole thing is super easy to take apart if you ever need to.
IIRC the whole this cost me around 100 euros, and the LACKs are definitely the cheapest part! 😀

Lack (he he he) of space was actually why I built this thing in the first place. Moving, so far has been an always looming issue for us so I wanted a modular system to contain everything I'd need to print, but easy to carry and transport. It has worked out perfectly for me, everything printing related sits in a 0.25m2 area and rolls around. Added bonus- my laptop fits neatly on the top so it also can act as a standing workstation.
My only real concern so far has been heat damage for steppers and electronics, but I'm by far not the only one who prints in an enclosure with everything inside and it seems to work allright. Beefy heatsinks on the steppers and electronics relocation is definitely on the my wishlist though.

You could do a temperature controlling system with arduino that turns fan on if temperature goes over specified limit.
Shouldn't be to hard? 😀

you're right! but with this it kinda defeats the purpose of the enclosure - the fan would introduce a sudden temeperature change that will screw up the print.. exactly what I'm trying to avoid 😀

I set my enclosure up so cold air is drawn from the outside and is pushed straight onto the psu and the control board. I dont worry about the stepper motors.
