Prospective new owner looking at the MK3S, have the common extrusion issues being rectified.

I do realize that it is possible to get a faulty product so not ruling that out, lol.

Shortlisted the MK3S as a first printer. But I read and saw YouTube videos regarding extrusion issues (namely 602) and if these had been resolved in the MK3S although that seemed to of gone quiet in the last year.

Thanks in anticipation

Vector3D's channel has a good video that goes in depth on the whole 602 kerfuffle. His conclusions sum it up nicely. It's a thing. All printers show artifacts from the FFF printing process. Some show it differently. If you go looking for it, you can find it. If it bothers you, consider a resin printer.

For my purposes, I recently acquired a 2nd printer, an Artillery Sidewinder X1. Having finally had a chance to print the same part using the same filament using the same settings and viewed under the same lighting, I am able to compare:

One is obviously of inferior quality and unacceptable for use.

My notes and disclaimers on 3D printing

If you're looking for the perfect printer.... There ain't one. Of course I'm leaving out the MEGA $$$ commercial ones, but I'll bet there are complaints about those, also.

Thanks @gerrykaslowski

That is sure true 🙂 .

I have not got the need (nor budget) for commercial industrial 3d printers 🙂
