new fan nozzle part
Got my i3 mk2 kit a week ago and assembled on the weekend. Other than messing up my Ultem on one side of the bed it went fairly smooth. One problem I did have was installing the fan nozzle part that directs air over the hot end. Part of the problem was the fan housing had tabs on the outside of the housing that interfered with the part fitting on that end. Also the opening in the fan nozzle part did not fit over the rectangular outlet of the fan exhaust opening. When I installed the fan nozzle part I ended up breaking the end piece that goes over part of the extruder housing.
I took the STL file of the fan nozzle into accutrans3D and saved it of into MODO and altered the part. I put a groove in to accommodate the tab on the fan housing and also move the inside face out a bit to encompass the rectangular opening of the fan housing. The part fits perfectly now and now the connection bolt is easy to install. Not sure if anyone else is having the same problem but I am attaching a STL file of the revised fan nozzle part. Took me 2 times to get the part right. One for the grove and one for pushing back the inside face. I have also included a screen shot of the part in accutrans3D. (Accutrans3D is a 3d conversion program written by a friend of mine. He has sold it worldwide to car companies, military, etc.)

He actually had to give me a beta version of his last update since the version on his web site would not read the Prusa parts STL files. He said he will update the program version soon and put it on his site. Among other things his program has a water tightness test. Which comes in handy when diagnosing problems with a part you may build. It says if your model is water tight and will highlight the problem areas.
Enough drivel! Hope the new fan nozzle part works for you. Let me know if it works.
Had to zip the image and the STL file as it seems this forum will not allow .STL extensions to be attached.
By the way I printed the part with PLA at 0.2 with 20% infill. I can upload the gcode if anyone wants.

I talked to Wayne @ Micromouse. (author of Accutrans3D and he said to download one of the older versions of Accutrans 3D to read the Prusa parts STL files. The version he advised me to use was 2014.2.0 32-bit which is an older version in the downloads section. He said he is dealing with a few items in his latest version and will probably be posting a new version in a couple of weeks as he has to crush a few bugs.

This is the part you're talking about right?
If I understand correctly, your fan had some kind of tabs (? extra plastic?) and the hole for the fan wasn't big enough?
I reprinted mine without any modifications to the STL file and it fit perfectly, so the problem might be elsewhere.

Maybe my original part had shrunk in printing. Did your new part extend past the printer fan housing tab. I could get the original part to fit over the housing but then the screw/bolt was impossible to attach. My new printer part just made for a very easy install. nozzle deflector nor really a critical fit part anyways. Thanks for you reply

On my fan also a small part broke off (see attached image). Because of that, the nozzle doesn't had any stability against upward movement, because the original nozzle rested against that protrusion.
Because the fan has a certain wall thickness, it was the logical way to make a rebate on the nozzle which fits that thickness and give a proper fit between nozzle and fan. I also changed the air divider a bit regarding that the flow is stronger on the outside and i imagine that the air destribution is more even now. Cannot test this, of course.
I also removed the nick on the left side, don't know for what this was for.
