is there a mod for filament measuring?
Hi.
I would like to know if there is a Place or mod to detect if the filament is runing low on the spool. Basicly a switch that Closes when the filament runs out and stop/pause the printer?
Thanks
Andreas
Re: is there a mod for filament measuring?
Hi Andreas, there are a number of filament out sensors on thingiverse,
some sound an alarm, others can be integrated with the prusa firmware

Re: is there a mod for filament measuring?
Hi.
Thanks for the information.
The part that i can't figure out is how to integrate it with the Prusa hardware and firmware.
I have mulitple switches and sensors.. but don't know how to proceed with connecting and instructing the Rambo that there are sensors.
In Marlin i could figure it out, since the firmware was opensorce.. but not in the Rambo.
Thanks for all the good pointers to Thingiverse.. but i'm looking for something that actualy could pause the printer so there could be made a filament replacement.
Best Regards
Andreas
