Increasing the Z axis height to 60cm on the MK2 or MK3
I'm thinking on ordering the MK3 kit in a few weeks, but since i have a normal-ish MK2 (some heavy mods on it) i want to build the MK3 like the haribo mod (with alu extrusions) to a printable z height of about 60cm or so.
Besides new motors, long lead screws, longer rods, motor to leadscrew adapters, and cable lengths what else would i need?
I'm thinking a alu extrusion z-brace to get rid of the wobble.
What negative impacts could i get with this height modded i3 MK3?

You would need an entirely new Z frame.

Could you make y axis longer, more easily?

That would require new belts (easy), longer rods (easy), an update to the firmware (easy) and a bigger build plate (impossible)

I think that would be more difficult because it affects the auto-calibration. You would need a print bed with the calibration points embedded.

Warping and print objects tearing themselves apart due to it would be more of a problem.
I think cable breakage might also increase.

The bigger you go (in any axis) ...print quality will suffer. "Horses for courses."
