Duble Extruder Stepper Problem

Im upgrading my Prusa I3 to a double extruder version, and I have problems with the filament extruder stepper, I can't make it work when the 3D printer is with the whole conection. I'm using the Marlin Fimware and modificated the configuratons for a double extruder. conection

I have tested de Stepper and the driver by itself, and had no problems with them alone, so I think its a firmware problem.

Have any of you had the same problem?

Thanks!

Re: Duble Extruder Stepper Problem

is this an original prusa 13?
or a Clone?

Prusa have been working for months on their multifilament upgrade, if it were easy, we would have received our upgrades ages ago....

Re: Duble Extruder Stepper Problem

While Prusa released the multi filament upgrade late last year (and now shipping this year), this uses multiple filaments through the same extruder. Therefore, if you want to print with Nylon and PLA, you are unable to with the new upgrade - because of the need for separate temperature extruders.

Have you checked out the E3D Chimera? It looks legit and there is a good amount of open source support.

Not true.

Temperature changes can occur during filament changes. I have tested this with PVA at 190 and PLA at 210 without issue. Therefore there is no reason why it would not work with greater temp differences.

P.S. I don't think this is relevant to the original post, I don't believe that the poster has an "original" i3.
