Casting a Silicone sock for legacy e3d v6 heater block

Hi,
I bought the e3d silicone socks without knowing they have a new v6 heater block :(, I found it the hard way when the sock fell off and destroyed my print after 10 hours. Today I saw in hackaday someone who casted a silicone sock for hist e3d volcano so I was wondering if anybody has made something similar with the legacy v6 heater block>? if no, I will give it a try and make my own 3d printed mold for casting silicone socks.

I find it is easier just to order their block and sock upgrade kit. That way you can use your existing socks and upgrade to the new Heater block. That's what I did.

Dimensions PNG

and an 8 inch (200mm) or greater caliper is recommended.

That makes more sense 😉 I still want to try it since I have a bunch of High Temp Silicone lying around 😉
