Auto Power Down
I often leave th printer to print whilst I am not watching.
has anyone designed an auto powerdown option for the printer?
maybe 5 minutes inactivity after a print completes.
(My prusa spits the bed out to the front when the print completes), 5minutes should allow the head to cool. enough for the fan to shut down,
it should also be lonng enough for the printer to move on, if it actually needs to have the platen in the fully forwards position for printing...

Re: Auto Power Down
You could set up something to turn it off but you would need relay or something that turns the switch off. But why would you need that ? printer shuts itself off , when head cools fan stops, its quiet, and the printer in that state barely draws any current. probably much less then TV in your livving room when it is turned off. Or put smart plug (I use it to turn on everything else around pc. PC is plugged in master socket and everything else in slave. When I turn on the pc you can hear relay click and everything turns on . when you turn off pc everything goes off. You can adjust the current to fit your needs.) something like this : http://www.conrad.com/ce/en/product/610800/Smart-power-strips-masterslave-strips-6-x-Silver-Anthracite-PG-connector-GAO/?ref=detview1&rt=detview1&rb=1
