Lift Z Between Object Layers
Good afternoon! I am printing multiple TPU objects on the same bed with "Complete individual objects" turned off so the first layer of all objects is printed first, then the second layer of all objects, etc... The issue I am seeing is travel lines when the nozzle moves from one object to the next. Being TPU, Lift Z is set to 0 in retraction settings by default. This works great when printing only one object, but I suspect it may be the cause of the issue. Are the travel lines due to Lift Z being set to 0? Is there a way to keep Lift Z 0 while printing each object and only lift z when moving to the next object?
RE: Lift Z Between Object Layers
It has to travel between objects if you are doing them a layer at a time. Tpu oozes, that's just the nature of the material, it will ooze on lift z or if its moving in xy, makes no difference. You ARE going to get strings between parts with tpu. If you don't want that then you are going to have to complete them individually.
RE: Lift Z Between Object Layers
There are actually no strings between the parts, just a travel line left on the top layer of each part.
RE: Lift Z Between Object Layers
Even if you set all lifts to zero, completely disable retraction etc PS always does a little extra lift on travel moves between objects that it doesnt do on travel moves within an object. I haven't found a setting yet to stop it doing so. You can clearly see it if you set a large z lift, on the travel between objects theres always a bit higher than you configure for a normal lift.
If you do find one please be sure to let us know.

How does printer do that?
When I set retraction and lift to "0" I see only one Z move per layer in gcode, and it is 10 parts in attached 3mf
What am I missing 🤔
Prusa i3 MK3S+ FW 3.11.0 (kit dec -20), PrusaSlicer 2.6.1+win64, Fusion 360, Windows 10
RE: Lift Z Between Object Layers
Theres always that one that lifts, your project has it too. Theres a feature request on the SuSi github at least partially related to this https://github.com/supermerill/SuperSlicer/issues/927 to define the shape of the lift/travel from up-across-down.
