why is there a void in print with 100% infill?

I am printing a small D&D figure, and to make it strong I set 100% infill.  Why does it have a void in it?  At first I thought it was a print error, but no Prusaslicer is slicing it this way. Ideas?   You can see in the leg there is a void, by design.  I thought OK maybe there is a hole in the model and so I used seam painter on it, but no change.

Can you upload the project as a zip-compressed 3mf file? The 3mf contains all your settings, without it all anyone can offer is wild guesses.

Shall we lay bets ?  Might as well do wild assed guesses until a saved and zipped project is posted.

I'm going to guess the actual model is hollow in those areas so that it doesn't matter amount of infill configured, its not internal space = no infill.

@robin - That’s freaking hilarious! Classic OCC clash of the Tuttles 😂

Not sure our friends across the pond will get the reference but thanks for the laugh!

Cheers

There was a cuff around the boot and it had a gap around it, too small for my eyes to see until you mentioned that.  Thanks!

Just a thought, instead of yelling at each new person visiting this forum, perhaps assume for a moment that we haven't seen the above exchange a hundred times.

It is after all, a help forum.  If the project file is required, perhaps the Admin can pin that in a FAQ, maybe even allow the file extension.

we have asked Prusa to allow .STL, .gcode and .3mf,  file extensions in the forum, we got as much positive response as we do asking Long term users of the forum, to play nicely...

We have also asked to be allowed to create stickies...
Everyone is new at sometime. unfortunately as our time here increases some users fail to mature.

One of the issues with the internet in general, is, that you almost need to know the answer before you can ask the right question in a search engine.

So folks, if a user asks a question that upsets you, please scroll on... there will be another person along shortly to help.

Yelling? Who is yelling? The guy in the picture? You do realise that was a joke, right?

You mean a pinned post containing info on how to get help efficiently? Like this one: https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/english-forum-general-discussion-announcements-and-releases/we-want-to-help-you-you-have-to-tell-us/ You are right, that might help a lot….

I believe Zoltan is a Prusa employee, and probably has greater abilities than I have.

I think Robin’s point is that the sticky post the OP is requesting already exists. The link Robin posted takes you to it and among other things, it says the following:

Provide as much relevant information up front so there isn't wasted time trying to get needed information, this can include;Your printer model.Any changes from the original design / modifications.Slicing program used (if applicable)filament type and manufacture.the settings you are using. If possible, attach a .3mf file (in a .zip file) as this includes all your settings for your print job and can help techs identify any setting issue, or even attempt to print the same file to see if its a problem in the printer or the file.if any recent changes, maintenance, or "upgrades" done to the machine.if any steps have been done on your part to try and fix the situation.photos or videos showing the problem you are having if you need help with it, we have a guide here.”

If new users spent a few minutes looking around the site, maybe doing a casual search, acquainting themselves with the layout and the wealth of information just sitting here, they would be better equipped to ask questions that include useful information so the community can provide meaningful answers.

And courtesy cuts both ways. Personally, I got the joke and no one was doing any ‘yelling’ at anyone. It would be ‘nice’ if first time posters started out by introducing themselves and providing some basic information about their printer, filament, etc, as stated in Zoltan’s post.

I find the community on this forum, on the whole, to be remarkably helpful, civil, and courteous. That’s why I’m here. Too many forums and social media sites quickly devolve into name calling and nastiness and are just not pleasant or helpful.

No one here was ‘yelling’ at the OP who did get an answer, even if it was a guess, despite the lack of information provided. I realize not everyone here speaks the same native language and we don’t all share a common sense of humor. But jeez, “lighten up, Francis.”

That’s just my opinion, I could be wrong…

Have a Happy Holiday everyone!

Cheers

I appreciate that someone took the time to write that up.

There are at least eleven separate forums, all titled "general discussion, announcements, and releases"  and it took me about 20 minutes to realize that.  The one under my printer does not have that set of instructions.  Also, I know that it is poor form to post help requests in a general discussion forum, so I'm not clear as to why I would have gone to a General Forum.  I just wanted to ask a question, and thankfully somebody answered it.

On a positive note, I feel that Joseph Prusa himself is very good about including and explaining things to newcomers in his videos, documentation, etc.   And I felt the same on the one technical support ticket I opened.
