whats gone wrong now 🙁

ive had quite a few good prints but having a huge issue trying to get a first layer down now, sometimes it works no problem other times it takes dozens of attempts for it to work, i have done loads of z tuning over and over and always are perfect but its starting to really become a pain now, i have cleaned the bed with hot water and dish soap, scrubbed it, cleaned it with alcohol, it doesn't seem to be a bed adhesion problem as the bits that are stuck are really good, it seems to be when shifting it either leaves a blob or doesn't print small parts of the print, i dont know if i have changed a setting that i dont recall or not but i have tried changing about everything with no difference, once the first layer is down it prints perfectly, i have tried several pla, and pteg and its always the same results either works first time or takes loads of attempts, no set outcome its like a lucky dip, added a photo to give an example of what happens.

What brand filament are you using, and/or are you handling it with bare hands? Filament contamination can cause problems that look just like a bad live Z or dirty bed...

I’ve tried prusament and general pla all brand new rolls not been touched by hand , I’ve cleaned the bed over and over , done my live z over and over and it’s perfect , just one time it prints perfect then it prints like that loads of times

To low. Raise the nozzle a bit.

This is even lower, not higher. Change in + direction (lesser value) not -.

@lichtjaeger

That is higher , it was -1.500 then I changed it to -1.450 then it pulls filament off the plate

That is a very big value. 😲

You should consider readjusting the PINDA.

And you should clean your bed.

@lichtjaeger

If I try the pinda adjustment then the nozzle moves the paper on calibration :/ the bed has been cleaned and cleaned dozens of times , this is what’s happening on first layer cal now

This is XYZ calibration and should be done after PINDA adjustment. Please read the manual I linked.

Adjusting the PINDA could also solve your problem with XYZ calibration.

after being onto support for about 5 hours and trying everything we could think of the best ive got it to is this , they said it may need the thermal paste replaced in the heatbreak ? could that be the case with a 4 week old printer thats printed about 5 things ? or are they grasping at straws
