what has happened to my prints?

Hello,

I do apologize if i'm posting in the wrong place. This is my first time here.

I have a prusa i3m3 for a month now and i couldn't be more happier.

Unfortunately something weird has started happening today and all my prints are failing. It is the same g-code and filaments i always use. first layer is still perfect, but when it starts accelerating on the second layer it goes really bad. any idea what has happened?

Is this new material, old material, same spool, new spool of same, PLA, PETG, Nylon?  What print profiles are you using?  Standard, custom?

What's the print environment? A/C room, garage, 25c 50c ambient?

Dear Tim,

the material is fairly new. Printed with it (specifically the green one) yesterday and it was fine. i tried other filaments to be sure both other colours and PLA (i usually use PETG).

the profile is the standared one for the prusament PETG, only adjusted temps to work better with this brand.

And just to reiterate - both filaments and the specific G code were used extensively over the last week and up until this afternoon it was perfect.

Did you do anything to remove the PETG from the nozzle before switching back to PLA?

Volumetric flow limits.  You can print very slowly with no effects. Print a bit faster and you get under-extrusion. This can happen when a non-meltable material is in the nozzle.
