Weird gaps in the upper model part
Hi Community!
I am new to this forum and already showing up with a problem 😀 , maybe you do have a solution?
In general slic3r is working great for me, especially with the new gyroid infill which is awesome!
But currently I am running into a weird problem with slic3r. I want to print a part for my kitchen which is rather big, estimated print time around 40 hours.
In the report after exporting the g-code on the upper part of the model weird gaps within the perimeters occur while the lower parts just looks fine. When rotating the model around the y axis (changing upper and lower part) the gaps stay at the top !?.
Tried several repair tools without effect.
Somehow smells like a flaw within slic3r? I added a pic and the stl as zip - file.
hoping for someone who is able to shed some light,
Manuel
Re: Weird gaps in the upper model part
I just had a go at slicing the STL. Those little marks are rendering errors and noting to be concerned about.
Now for the problem turning the part on end and rotating it by 55° around the Z axis it still did not fit on the bed. I had it at a scale of 80% or so. Check that your scale is 100% or it will not fit where it is ment to at the end of the day and waste a 40hour print.

Hey Martin!
Great you gave it a try! So i will give it a go and hope to get a good result! 😀
When rotating it around the z axis for 45° my Tevo Tornado (300x300) is just big enough to print it at full scale, but thank you for pointing out!
Best,
Manuel
