Weird difference in first layer

Hi guys,

Like you see in the photo, there is a little difference between the left and right section of the prints first layer. First layer should be optimal, but only this occurs (very small gaps in first layer). I calibrated my first layer very carefully and checked it with a model with one thickness high, so that could NOT be the problem.

Already contacted support, and they told me a very slight distance change with nozzle and bed. They advised to change the mesh lvl from 3x3 to 7x7, which should solve the issue. That did actually not, (made it a bit worse).

Anyone had this problem before, and solved it?

Many thanks!

That looks like a decent first layer.  I'm having trouble seeing the gaps you mention, they might be easier to see on a lighter coloured print - are the holes always in the same place or do they move around?

RE:

Maybe this photo makes it clear. My first layer is indeed good, that's why I dont know what the cause of this issue is.

There are areas where the first layer is perfect, and then after a while, I got the super small gaps. I dont see these caps in my first layer on the top side. Its always the bottom side of the layer. I suspect the bed but dont know how to fix this

I did some testing. Could it be possible that it has something to do with the Panda probe? When the bed reached its temperature and I start the print right away, I always get these gaps. When I start a second print (when the bed is heated for a time), I got not a single gap?

I cooled down my bed, started the print again and yet again, my gaps were back.
Now I am doing some testing with letting my bed cooling down, start to heat again and wait a couple minutes before I start my print.

Try drying your filament.

If your workspace is cold extending your warm-up period by a few minutes as you are experimenting may help.  Use the LCD controls to heat just the bed at first or you may get jams as filament bakes in the nozzle.
