Voronoi Pattern Printing without strings possible?
Dear Community,
can someone suggest settings or tweaks on how to get this pattern printed without strings?
RE: Voronoi Pattern Printing without strings possible?
Hi alexanderswo
you don't give us any information about materials or settings or which slicer you are using.
are you using a standard Prusa filament profile?
could you save the project as a Project file, in Prusa Slicer, then ZIP compress the project file, and attach the zip file to your next post please
in the mean time, as a complete guess, you could try reducing the nozzle temperature.

@joantabb
thanks for your reply, I attached the project. I want to print with PLA from Filamentworld...
what is the difference between Generic PLA and Prusament PLA? I guesses since it is not original from Prusament, I should use Generic.

RE: Voronoi Pattern Printing without strings possible?
Hi alexanderswo
when I loaded your Project file, and sliced the project, as presented
I noted that the Voroni band was 250mm long and orientated across the the X axis.
as expected this gave an error message during slicing.
so I rotated the band to be diagonal on the build plate, and the file sliced OK.
your picture shows a lot of travel moves, but the file you sent has avoid crossing perimeters set, which reduces the potential travel moves and stringing significantly.
in the image above, you can see that having the band across the build plate, causes an error message, rotating the band on the build plate, does away with this error.
In the top left corner is a section of the picture you showed in your first post )this appears to be, before you selected 'Avoid Crossing Perimeters'
the right hand side of the picture shows the results I got with your project file, after I rotated the model to be diagonal. there are very few crossings of openings and little chance of stringing..
why don't you try the file I have modified and returned in this post...
I note that you have turned off infill, and chosen only one perimeter, for your model, will this make the model fragile?

Dear Joan,
thanks for your reply. I used your project file and sliced it, and the same crossings occured... I updated the software to latest version and now it works! i found this thread on it: https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/prusaslicer/avoid-crossing-perimeters-doesnt-work/ and realized I had this old version installed...
thanks so far, now I'm trying to improve the print quality...
RE: Voronoi Pattern Printing without strings possible?
@alexanderswo
is there a reason that you chose only one perimeter...?
more perimeters may give a stronger print.
