Vase Mode questions
I am trying to print a number of things with Vase mode. Its really close to being perfect except every 1/3rd of a perimeter the nozzle fly's off to the center of the part pulling material with it. I can't figure out it either. I just want to get the nozzle to stay on the part and I will see success!!
I have a MK3s+ with a .4 nozzle that's bone stock printing prusament PETG and using prusa slicer to get the G-CODE
RE: Vase Mode questions
It would help if you could save the project from Prusa Slicer, as a Project file (,3mf file)
then ZIP Compress the project file, and attach the compressed ZIP File.
Like the file below... which should be a cube in Vase Mode
for information sake,
I have set the External perimeter extrusion thickness to 0.6mm to give stronger more waterproof walls

Thank you very much! I appreciate any help or advise I can get! I have tried setting the External perimeter extrusion thickness to both 0.6mm and 0.8 with really nice results. But I have two issues that are killing my results. really really short straight movements which I can correct with arc welder to some success and the nozzle moving to center constantly which seems like the bigger issue.
RE: Vase Mode questions
How are you printing ? Do you have octoprint controlling things ? And you mention arcwelder, so it’s sounds like you are running some sort of post processor on the sliced gcode.
For testing purposes go with a vanilla setup and use the sd card to make sure a base line works and then add stuff back in. For example there have been threads started where people have had similar problems with the bed going to a certain position all the time, turned out they had octolapse running and it moved the bed to the position where it would take a frame.
RE: Vase Mode questions
@Neophyl, wow i didn't even think about that.. the octolapse plugin #facepalm_moment. I will check that out and respond, Thanks!!
