"Vase mode" 2nd, 3rd, or all the layers?
If "Vase Mode" can create a solid first layer, why not "Vase Mode" the 2nd layer, or the 3rd, or the entire print?
I'm just wondering if it is possible for Slic3r to create "Vase Mode" path an entire solid print, including infills. As long as there are no branching arms.
Possibly eliminate seams for the print.

Possibly slice every layer to concentric circles slowly upward?

after the first layer, vase mode raises the z height progressively in a single continuous filament as the model builds, you can't do that with a solid item
