Unable to slice thin details
Hi,
I have drawn a collimator in Inventor that has some thin detail that is critical to print but the Pursaslicer does not appear to show it.
The item is made of a ring that has the outside diameter of 55 mm a inner diameter of 52 mm. Inside of this is a honeycomb lattice that has a wall thickness of 0.4 mm. The whole item is extruded 10 mm. The honeycomb cells are about 4.3 mm across.
Can someone tweet the stl file and slice it for me so I can print this detail? I was hoping to be able to upload the stl file but it does not look like this forum can do that.
I'm running a i3 MK3S and a MMU2S. I will be printing it in PET on extruder 1
pictures attached.
Regards,
Paul
RE: Unable to slice thin details
This is because it has a wall thickness of 0.4 mm but the width of the filament string is approx. 0.45 mm (Default extrusion width).
But you can solve it in two ways.
1. Under Print settings, select "Detect thin walls".
or
2. You can draw your wall thickness at least 0.45 mm
Bear MK3 with Bondtech extruder
