Troubleshooting print issue -- ghosting?

I've had my MK3S+ for a few months now, pre-assembled, and it's been flawless up until the two-ish weeks. Among other things, I've been printing some of the models from this modular shelving set on Printables. Everything looked great, then I began having the issue in the image below. I'm using the same filament (Inland PLA+), with the same model gcode. The image is taken in the same orientation as it is printed, from the perspective of the front of the printer. Interior partitions in the same orientation (along X axis) have the same or similar anomalies. Partitions and edges along the Y axis show very slight ghosting around those joint slots, but none of the weird layer issues. The rear, opposite the face in the picture, has similar issues but to a lesser extent. This doesn't look like a layer shift, as the rear also "bulges" in the same layers.

The bed was recently leveled using the Nyloc mod, and the axis rods were recently cleaned and greased. Both were done after the initial prints of this model that showed this same defect, and the defect remains. The model pictured was printed last night, after completing the bed level.

Good evening, your link

After a few months of use some basic maintenance should be performed to keep your printer functioning optimally. Below is a link to the maintenance page for the MK3 Series.

https://help.prusa3d.com/article/i3-printers-regular-maintenance_2072

I would start by checking the grub (Allen) screws on the X and Y stepper motors for proper tightness. One screw needs to be properly aligned with the flat on the motor shaft and tightened first. Then tighten the second screw.

Make sure the drive and idler gears are properly aligned and the belts are tracking centered, not dragging on one side.

Check belt tension on both the X and Y axis.

Your problem is likely one of these issues.

Cheers

@joantabb, thanks for the correction.

@randym9: Thank you for the response. I also posted on the Prusa3D subReddit and received the same recommendation about grub screws for the X/Y axis. I checked and they were indeed a bit loose. I centered them on the flat face of the drive shaft and secured the grub screws. This seems to have completely resolved the issue. I was reviewing the maintenance procedure, but missed the bit about the grub screws. Thanks for the recommendation and fix!
