Treefrog first print, any print issues you see?
Hi guys, first print on the 50um model. Is this a satisfactory output from the printer? I'm not sure why there is a ridge along the back of the frog. I have a feeling first layer was too squished or does it look fine to you? And how do you remove that first layer stuff around the figure? Thanks!

Xilex,
Welcome to the forum, others with more experience may weigh in but right away looking at the underside of your frog as well as the top of the skirt it appears that your live-Z adjustment is too high. Many of the experienced printers on this forum recommend forgoing the built-in live-Z calibration routine in favor of the one outlined in this extremely popular thread:
Once you have what you feel is a good test coupon using this method post a picture on the forum for evaluation. The window between just right, too low and too high is pretty small so it may take a few attempts.
I am assuming that by "ridge" you are referring to the line down the right edge of the frog's back? This "ridge" is a result of the slicer being told to align the starting points for each layer. Other slicer settings for this are random and nearest. Since you are using the pre-sliced G-code from Prusa this artifact will remain.
Finally, you didn't specify what material you are printing with. This does not look like the Prusa Galaxy Silver PLA that shipped with the printer. If it is not, please reply with the material and the printer settings (temps, etc) that you used to print this and others may be able to offer some suggestions for reducing the stringing and blobs on the print.
Regards,
Steve

@steve_g I'm going to keep my posts on the other thread since live-z is still an issue. Thank you for helping out.
Filament is Hatchbox PLA gray.
