If it's the stepped layering you're asking about, that is what FDM does. Each of those steps is 0.15 mm, the height the printer steps up between layers.  You can print a higher layer resolution version, there is a 0.05 mm layer gcode on the SD card that shows what the printer can really do. But, more layers takes more time: 0.05 mm per layer takes 3 times longer than 0.15 mm per layer...

I don't see anything wrong with that print. You may want to use the "Layer editing" tool in the Plater tab (top right) to decrease the layer height for the top surfaces of the frog to achieve a smoother surface.

Thanks! I was referring to the top layers, where the legs and nose are really gnarly. I'll try that vojtech!

This was off the stock Prusa SD card that came with my MK3S. Is it odd that I would need to change the model in software?

Well, the models on the SD are just demo prints and not particularly awesome. Some rather old and not using all the capabilities of the current software. Yes, you can achieve better results and print more interesting stuff if you invest the time to slice the model properly.

In any case, learning how to create your own models and how to print them well is what's most interesting on 3D printing. 🙂
