Temporary Layer Shift at specific heights
Hey all! Recently got into 3D Printing and picked up a Prusa i3 Mk3s+. After a few small prints, I moved to a larger scale print in which I noticed a substantial layer shift around 9 mm up on the object. The object shifts slightly on the Y-Axis and returns to its “actual” position (the correct position) after 2-3mm. This is creating edges and holes in my print, including poor infills and difficult to remove supports. However, this only seems to happen on “larger” prints, since I printed a tall cube that didn’t have any layer shifts at all.
Images included below of the layer shifts on my project. (Also, in Cura it does not show any layer shift at all).
