Stringing help

I’m kinda at an end pass here.  I’ve printed several prints just fine with prusa slicer, and octalabs, but lately have gone back to straight printing.

I’ve developed a new issue that I can’t seem to resolve. I’ve changed nozzles, filament, busted open new reels, and printed multiple string towers. I can’t get the hair-like stringing to stop.

I’m not sure it’s my retraction, but can’t think of what else it could be.  Anyone have any pointers?

Make sure the filament is dry

This. Drying would be my next troubleshooting step.

Yep, what they said…

You wrote „I developed a new issue“. If you print without problems and then, all of a sudden, you start to developing an issue, it‘s very likely that something has changed. To resolve the issue it is normally not a good idea to randomly change settings that worked fine before but to find the something and change it back. In your case filament absorbing moisture may very well be the something.

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

To add to the others, a new filament roll is also no guarantee that its not damp.  Beyond that though has your environment changed ?  hotter, colder, more humid ?

Same problem for me. My Prusament PETG roll is new and came sealed. I don't live in a pond 😀
