Spiral Vase mode not being a continuous extrusion, big gap, not sure why

I'm trying out spiral vase mode for the first time and am getting this weird result. 0.6mm nozzle with default settings for Prusament PETG.

I am using PrusaSlicer 2.5.0-Alpha3, could that be the culprit? I also uploaded a video to show what the extruder is doing at the seam / gap.

if your original vase is hollow, before you print it, you are not actually printing in vase mode...!

have a look at the attached ZIP file,

It contains 3 files
An STL for a Demo vase,
A project file for the vase
and a Gcode for the same vase

Please note, I have increased the extrusion width for the 'External Perimeters'  to .08mm which should be easily achievable with a 0.4mm nozzle

good luck, Joan

I try to make safe suggestions,You should understand the context and ensure you are happy that they are safe before attempting to apply my suggestions, what you do, is YOUR responsibility. Location Halifax UK

Ahhh TIL. I ended up not going with spiral vase mode and just printing it normally. Used more material and took way longer but got the job done. TY for teaching me something today!
