Something has gone wrong

My Original Prusa i3 MK3 has been working okay since I set it up a few years ago. Today I tried a print and it skewed the print to the right. By that I mean, the rectangular outline of the print was where it should be on the sheet but the designed holes inside the rectangular outline of the print were outside of the outline on the right side.

Attempts to fix the issue with restarts resulted in the print head starting its 49 point bed calibration from the front center part of the bed it would take 4 calibration readings moving to the right and then get caught on the right edge of the bed and error out.

I used the button-press / knob-turn to raise the z axis and hand positioned the head back to the left - the printer keeps making the same error after reboots.

It had printed fine yesterday - nothing changed, I've always left the settings where they were. The display panel now also shows a Z 0.15? message - I think that is new - maybe related to the problem?

Anyone have some suggestions for how I can troubleshoot / fix this?

Thanks.

I haven't had an MK3S for a while, but I would probably start with the basic calibrations. First is the XYZ calibration if I recall. Then there are the belt tests, etc. Maybe one of these will either fix the issue, or point you in the right direction.

Thanks.  I'll have to review the documentation or watch some tutorials.

As I recall, I had a heck of a time getting the Z height correctly set. Hate to have to go thru that again.

RE:

First check if there is debis stuck below the print sheet. That's the easiest to fix cause.

Second, redo xyz calibration.

Third, if you hit the bed hard enough with the extruder you might need to redo first layer calibration (This is only difficult in the beginnig, you'll soon find yourself doing it in less than 5 minutes including preheating, trust me)

Last: "z 0.15?" is the normal indication of the printer after reboot, it indicates that the printer has not done z axis home yet and is assuming that the extruder is at it's lowest position, which is the software endstop an 0.15mm. It will therefor only permit up movements from this z position until the z-axis is homed, afterwards the "?" will be gone.

If it's been a long time, you might want to go around and check if all of the screws are tight. Especially the pulley grub screws.
