Setting up / calibrating for nylon with 0.8mm nozzle
I'm having trouble getting calibrated properly for a 0.8mm nozzle and Taulman 645 nylon. I can print fine with a 0.8mm nozzle and PLA or matterhackers RYNO.
I have a 1 layer thick 75mm square calibration square with 4 perimeters. The 4 perimeters seem to be too thin and don't overlap properly. When I start out, the interior lines are also too thin and don't overlap. Adjusting live Z isn't sufficient; it feels like under-extrusion. I tried slowing down to 50% with only partial improvement. I then upped the flow to 150% and that seemed to get enough filament out to get a good line-to-line bond. I could then decrease to 130% flow and increase the speed back up to 100%. I'm wondering if this is the sort of change others would expect. I started from prusa-slicer's default Taulman Bridge filament and 0.8 nozzle settings.
I'd like to compare my settings with the defaults, as the defaults shown/set with the padlock don't seem to always be the actual defaults for the given nozzle and layer height, but I can't find the default files. Where are the default PrinterSettings and FilamentSettings files stored for snap images on linux?
Also, why would only some of my filament files in ~/snap/prusa-slicer//.config/PrusaSlicer/filament show up in the filaments dropdown?
