Prusament PETG Signal White Wads up and won't print. Prusament PETG Jet Black Prints fine. Same gcode.
I opened the Signal White sealed plastic for the first time yesterday. Swapped from Jet Black to Signal White and the non-stop failures began from there. I've wasted a day trying to print a part in white that I printed in black the day before. Before that I printed the tray holder and that took 8 hours to print in black. No problems. I printed 3 of the drawers in black, no problem.
I switched to white for the last two drawers and that's when the non-stop failures began. The factory nozzle got so gunked up I replaced it with a 0.6 nozzle about an hour ago (yes I changed it in the software and resliced the file with the 0.6 nozzle selected). Even after yet another first layer calibration, that went ok, but not great, the print failed. The calibrations, once I got the axis set, all seemed to have globs of filament that would eventually be wrapped around the nozzle and hang up on the filament on the bed. That doesn't happen with black or red. Just the white.
I've done the first layer calibration so many times I've lost count. I did a full printer maintenance, including cleaning the extruder. I did a cold pull. While I was at it I cleaned everything and greased what is supposed to be greased. After dozens of calibrations and attempted prints I gave up and put PETG Jet Black in the printer. No first layer calibration, no adjustments, I just selected the file and it started printing it with no issues. We'll see what it looks like in about an hour but this should not happen. I'll bet I can load Prusament PETG Carmine Red and it'll print just like it always does - great. There is no reason that the white and clear (I only tried clear with the 0.4 nozzle. It failed too) shouldn't print.

For the most part my goto filament is Prusament PETG. It would be nice if I could use all of the Prusament PETG colors. Especially the colors that I have already paid for.

The latest print with black PETG had some bubbling on the bottom. There's 25% humidity in the house. I guess I need to cook my filament

That still doesn't explain why a brand new unopened box of white and clear Prusament PETG wouldn't print and black does

I experienced exactly what Keelan John and Scrivano Matthew complained about in their reviews of the filament, but I did find a solution! From Keelan John: ”I don't know what it is with this color but I can't get it to lay down a good first layer--it won't stick to the bed and it just creates a large blob on the nozzle. It is also very stringy. I tried glue sticks, different temps, different speeds, Z-adjustments with no success. Since all the other Prusament PETG colors print just fine using the exact same settings (and immediately after switching rolls), I think it is specific to this color (this roll is a month old and has not been exposed to the atmosphere for prolonged periods).” We all must have gotten a bad batch of filament because it would appear (based upon the review dates) that we all got our PETG in about the last ~1 month. I was almost to the point of throwing the filament away but then I read about drying the filament in the oven which I did last night. I kept the filament in the oven at 150F(65C) for ~8 hours and tried printing again this morning and it worked great!

I had exactly the same issue with signal white. After a night in the oven everything changed to good!
Thank you!
