I've used it with both types and didn't see an appreciable difference so it's more a matter of taste, I think.

Thanks. If there is no difference in difficulty to remove the prints from the sheet without using glue, then I'll just go with satin it's the only one besides smooth that is in stock.

Be careful.  The glue stick is both a sticking agent and a release agent.  Many a user has ruined a sheet not using the glue stick.

I have a role of this filament to use with my MK3S and I'd like to avoid using glue sticks. I do intend on getting a dedicated sheet for this filament. What, if any, is the best sheet to use if I want to avoid glue?

I use glue stick mainly to aid removal of prints from the bed  without causing damage to the bed. It extends the life if the bed.

Without glue stick an impression of the printed object is left behind on the bed snd it never fades. With glue stick it just washes off.

The fact the glue also aids bed adhesion means I do not need to add a brim to aid bed adhesion also helps reduce print post-processing and cleaner finished products.

The cost is just the glue and a little time to apply the glue before printing.

RE:

I go with the recommendations from the manufacturer Prusa. They lean toward the satin sheet.

I find it works well, I have all the bed plates, but satin works well, so I just use it.

Thanks for the recommendations.

If I'm going to have to mess around with glue stick then I might as well first try with my smooth PEI sheet and maybe then I don't have to order a new sheet. According to the Prusa Material Guide this filament is OK to use on PEI if used with glue stick, so if I need a glue stick regardless it seems there is no point in getting a satin sheet.
