Prusa Mk3 Slicer settings for successful Lithophanes.

Hi All. I need your advice. I have the MK3 which is an awesome printer. I want to print out some Lithophanes as gifts for Christmas. I have found all the websites etc for creating the STL's but what what I need to is what setting do I need to change in the Prusa slicer so I get a decent print. I would really appreciate your advice.

Prusa MK3 - Awesome printer 🙂

All the lithophanes I have done, flat and curved, did great with 100% infill, brim, and default settings. .015 layers.

For my lithophanes I print them vertically (parallel to the y-axis) and enough perimeters to not have any infill.

Other than that, I really don't make any setting changes that I recall. (Maybe avoid crossing perimeters, but I forget if that actually did anything significant.)

Thank you for the tips

I'm just starting on this lithophane project and appreciate the hints above. I will update on if ironing top surfaces helps once a test print is complete. I'm using Sunlu Silk+ PLA.

On youtube there is a guy with a big lion, he explanes how to do this.

Print need to standing up, the z axis print the smallest layers, and then you get the best print, 0.15 setting.

Ironing can not work , the model is not flat, and the model is standing up, and not laying down on bed.

100% infill. Ironing only works on flat prints.

(Lithophane print will also show if your printer is not skipping layers, because the light comes through the whole print you will see every mistake the printer makes).

Do you mean 0.15 mm layers or do you actually print with 0.015 mm layers?
