In sweden we have a proverb that says "Up like a sun and down like a pancake" 😀

I think those guys are prepping for an alpha build to get more feedback on. There's a flurry of activity in the last couple days. I'm most interested in the MMU painting feature that only exists in branches at this point and not in master. I'm watching for when that gets merged to master.
RE: problems printing wide cup with TPU
Saw that paint on feature on prusas livestream, looks awesome.
I am thinking about buying a MMU, but I also thinks the best for me is to learn basics of 3dprinting before struggling with a MMU.
Reading all the posts here, trying to figure out peoples problems before the "old" guys come with a solution and so on.
Sometimes I am on the right path, more often wrong 😀
This kind of problems however is another thing, not much 3dprinting in this.
(I spotted one problem in the OPs wide cup, no infill in the sides)

RE: problems printing wide cup with TPU
Hey Guys,
Now what we have done all this discovery, do we know how I can import the modified project so I can try the Overture TPU printing fix?
Thanks

I have an MMU and it's a love/hate relationship. Mostly hate at the moment. When it does work, it's great. I'm very close to unhooking the thing. I do recommend you be very comfortable with single filament printing before you undertake the MMU. And if you print TPU, you're going to likely have to bypass it to print TPU. I know others will likely disagree with me, but out of the box, and in the manual it doesn't list TPU as a supported filament, for good reason. Simply the way the MMU is designed makes it not well suited to printing with flexible materials.

I think the key is to make sure the various built-in profiles have been loaded in prusa slicer via the configuration wizard. Then open the tinker-swiss model and try it. Apparently his print detached from the satin plate about 9 hours in... I don't have any overture to try, but you should be able to do it as long as you have the built in profiles loaded.

I'm busy as hell with work right now, But i had to hop in here and tell you two how much I appreciate you doing this.
Thank you

Lol no worries. I've really not done much lol

@ajcurtis
Sorry for hijacking. Install prusa system profile "SemiFlex or NinjaFlex 85-98A" and open up tinker_swiss.3mf, then it should be ok.
If it works I suggest you to save the filament profile with a name that suits you.
@ssill2
I have understand it´s heaven or hell with the MMU, therefore I hesitate. But someday, maybe

The profile if it loads right is still great, however the print failed last night at a little over 50% it curled upwards so save your filament I'm working on a fix, I'm fairly certain it's cooling related.
I'm trying to work, I really am. 🙄

I've got my eye on an E3D tool changer. That's really the only right way to do multi material in my opinion. Though I'm waiting until some folks on here get some hands-on time with the Palette V3.
RE: problems printing wide cup with TPU
@ssill2
Agree, I understand the wipe towers eats up a lot of filament.
With a toolchanger you can have a small router toolhead as I have understand it. THAT'S interesting.
Take a look at Mihai design on YouTube, he is developing a toolchanger that sits aside of the printer.
But, as said, I stay with my single line, single extruder printer for while

That's ridiculous, what a waste. Some kind of "real" solution would pay off rather quickly

yeah and that's not the biggest one I've had lol. separate extruders would be so much less wasteful.
