RE: Printing Wheel Hub and Tyre for RC Car

As I`m newbee here, Hello to all,

I'm trying to print wheels for an rc car. See the photo of the set

I think I need some supports, one in  the center of the hub, and on in the tyre for the upper rim.

How to realise that ?

Enable in: Print Settings > Support material

But you will find it hard to print tyres soft enough.

Hello Diem, thx for your tip, i forgot to relieve the support button.

However, I found the supports, who cover  all the "blue" areas in the slicer.

I wish to know if it possible to select only the areas i choose to support, in my case only the inner area of the tyre and the inner area of the hub , as them outers were printed in the .by me,requiered quality.

Awaiting for your reply, greetz

Ben

BTW the elastic filament, 1,75mm, by OLY, gave me a good result, apart from oozing/stringing apparance, which  need more tweaking. 😉

I just read some good tips here, in a topic from  2020 named -Understanding how to implement supports-

It helps me a lot to understand it

I wish to know if it possible to select only the areas i choose to support,

Use the paint-on support icon, works both to enforce and to block support.

Great, I digged in these knowledge about supports, which i was not aware of, and i found the youtube of Joseph Prusa, a complete instruction how to use the

Paint-On feature. Great, 100% ok for me.

Diem, thanks a lot for your tip
