Printing two movable parts together

Hello - just wondering what might be the best way to print these two parts. Ideally I would like to print them separately but without supports as it ruins the tight fit. Regardless of the orientations this this doesn't seem possible so I thought that since the two parts go together anyway maybe I could print as a single part ( on its side) with enough separation to be able to break any connection.
So, if possible how much wider should I make the grey part jaws compared the the green lever blade so that it doesn't all fuse into one piece yet not get too loose.
The part is about 150mm long and attaches to an alum extrusion.
Hope I explained myself
(also I use slic3r)

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2318105 there are dozens of these tolerance test things some of them have the cad files for manipulating your design try a few to gauge what your printing style can work with for internal clearances

Thanks for the links. Most of the tolerance devices determine horizontal gaps where as my piece would be a horizontal gap so I might have to rethink.

Looking at all this made me wonder how the slicer does its work. For best accuracy should a dimension be an exact module of the layer dimensions or does the slicer somehow compensate for a dimension that doesn’t match the layer height? (Eg .2 plus layer number x .15)
