Printing textured versus smooth
Have purchase a textured print plate to try it.
I have clean it with soap and hot water, and before each try, a clean with isopropanol, As I do with the smooth plate.
I have also made some adjustments for the first print.
the first print is good, but I have always a part that move on the second or third layer.
mis their are something special to do with the textured plate?
I have put back my old plate, I have change the setting of the first layer, and for now, everything is printing well on my smooth plate.
RE: Printing textured versus smooth
Print a 2" calibration circle with your textured plate. Post it here - and we will give suggestions.
The textured surface has less adhesion than the smooth. You may need to use a brim.
RE: Printing textured versus smooth
I was printing 50 token with a base of 10mm, and 2-3 token have move on the third layer.
then, the textured plate is better with big print?
I will store it, and maybe use it in the futur for bigger part.
thank you for the answer.
RE: Printing textured versus smooth
On a new plate, try printing one of your object until you are happy with the result.
Printing 50 of anything at once shows a lot of confidence in your process.
One finger print on the plate can ruin all 50.
RE: Printing textured versus smooth
I know, I have print a sample with my smooth plate before, but I was not inform that the textured plate have less adhesion.
