Printing ribs to help parts fit
I have seen articles suggesting that ribs, as used on injection moulding manufacture to make puh-fit parts stay together, could be used in 3D printing. I've tried to print ribs using 0.1mm and 0.2mm cylinders inserted into the sides of the part, but Prusa slicer does not see them. Does anyone have advice about how this can be done? Thanks

RE: Printing ribs to help parts fit
I usually do this in CAD software. I use conical shapes, thinner on top and wider on the base. I don't think Prusaslicer is (or should be) the right tool for this. Trying to precisely place these nubs in PS would drive me nuts.

RE: Printing ribs to help parts fit
I'm designing in Tinkercad, and the ribs look fine here. prusa slicer does not, however, handle them ver well, but I think I am getting there by experimenting with the size of the ribs.
Thanks for your help. I will now start experimenting with conical shapes as you suggest.

I misunderstood, I was under the impression you were adding the ribs in PS. If PA is not handling them well, they're probably too small. I would also compare Arachne via Classic slicing modes to see if one or the other handles them better.
