Print Speed?

Hi Folks,
I’m experimenting with translucent filament with trying to get it as transparent as possible. One of the recommendations I’ve read is to slow down print speed to increase layer fusion. An example was given to slow from a typical 40mm/s to 20mm/s. I’m using the Prusa Edition of Slic3r and under the print settings I see a section for speed but I’m not seeing a global speed parameter as I was expecting? What is shown are several adjustable speed parameters ranging from perimeters, infills, support, bridges, gap. Not what I was expecting. Should I simply take all these parameters and try cutting the speed by half or is there a better way to look at this? Appreciate any suggestions or advice.

Re: Print Speed?

you can always just slow it down on the printer. slow, hot, and add some flow. good times playing around with that stuff 😀

I have a Prusa,therefore I research.

Thank you very much! I didn't realize there was this "Tune" feature where such parameters could be changed. Your comment made me search the printer menu until I found it. Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks again!!!

Yes. I would appreciate seeing how transparent you were able to get the print.

Direct access of speed with the knob (first turns for all title-piece and then for % speed) and indicate on LCD as % ; Very fast access.

Re: Print Speed?

I was only able to find a few parts. yellow shows up good. but the blue is good also just darker.

those where done on my poor wanhao. 255 temp petg very slow. 107 flow. make sure to have something to protect your bed. it stuck too good. I did a dice and it trashed me bed sticker, careful.

I have a Prusa,therefore I research.

Those look great! I did notice the "Flow" selection in the "Tune" menu. What does this setting do and how do you determine how to adjust? And, yes, I read about the caution of flexible filaments with PEI and have painters tape on.
