Print beds for Nylon

I’m trying and failing to print with nylon on the std pei plate. I’ve tried hairspray, glue stick etc but no go. It is peeling off after just a couple of layers. I’ve heard about garolite print beds available in the US. Prusa are all sold out of their nylon print beds are there any alternatives available in the UK?

Thanks

RE: Print beds for Nylon

I have just printed PA6 Nylon for the first time, I used a plate of FR4 fiberglass Printed circuit board with the outer layer of Copper etched off, This has a matt finish and the PA6 stuck extremely well first print, Just FR4 NO GLUE.

Printed bed temp 100°C

RE: Print beds for Nylon

You can buy 'naked' FR4 on Aliexpress in many printer bed sizes, and eBay but not as many choices Just search for "FR4 235mm" in my case 235mm bed, Would recommend at least 3mm thick for rigidity, I used a piece of 1.6mm copper clad PCB and etched the copper off with Sodium PerSulphate in hot water (about 30Min).  PA6 sticks very well.  If you mark the surface when removing you can light sand with ~800 Grit sandpaper.

Just clip it to your Hot Bed & Re level.

I have some PA66 on the way, I Assume (Hope) it sticks as well.

Nice idea, and good to hear you are printing successfully. I ended up with the Prusa Nylon bed which came back in stock. It works really well

RE: Print beds for Nylon

Been reading about G10 and G11 for 3D print beds.  Supposed to work with all filaments.  G11 is supposed to be higher temperatures that G10.  G11 has a maximum temperature of 150/180 degrees depending on the class.  FR4 is rated for 130 degrees.  G11 is also a hard material.
